Flexible tanks offer many benefits when storing liquids.

The bags can be used for a large number of liquid types such as: utility water, drinking water, food products, fertilizers, waste water, rain water, etc.

Flexi tanks are used for both short-term and long-term reuse. For each type of tank it is important to assess what type of liquid will be stored. It is important to determine the appropriate material type in relation to long-term sustainability as well as economic return. Flexi tank also offers a wide range of specifications in size, colour, strength and material durability. This specification is important in order to achieve maximum durability.

We need to determine the key parameters of the tanks and translate this information into manufacturing processes. We must consider critical characteristics such as overall compatibility, reliability, economic and environmental sustainability. Based on these parameters, we will select the appropriate material type as well as the final design of the bag.

Flexi tank is a product that is economically viable for many reasons.

Compatibility is one of the most important factors in tank manufacturing. To assure it, two factors need to be taken into account.

• The bag material must not negatively affect the contents of the bag, e.g. give off an odour or otherwise chemically affect the contents of the bag.
• the contents of the bag must not erode or weaken the material, which would have a negative impact on the integrity of the bag material.

There are many types of materials and each offers different properties for the different types of substances to be stored. Assess the physical and chemical properties of liquids from the liquid safety data sheet, which will provide information on Ph, salinity, viscosity and whether the liquid causes corrosion.

The bags are usable for both short-term and long-term storage of liquids. The material is selected according to whether the bag is intended for single or long-term use. In the event that the bag needs to be hygienically cleaned, it can be cut open and after sanitization it can be resealed using high-frequency technology, which guarantees absolute strength again.

The final step in the production process is the leak test, which guarantees the structural reliability of the bag. This process involves inflating the bag with air and then checking the welds with soapy water. If the slightest leak in the weld is detected, it will be immediately visible in the bubbles that appear on the surface of the bag. The bag will be re-welded at these points.

The manufacturer provides a complete warranty and after-sales service. In cases of mechanical damage to the bag, simply drain the bag completely and send it to the manufacturer for professional welding. The method of repair must be carried out exclusively by high-frequency technology, which alone can guarantee absolute weld strength. This is called a NON-FLEXIBLE weld.

Our bags have a LOW CARBON STOP. FLEXITANK requires a minimum amount of materials for the production itself. Its extremely low weight significantly reduces emissions and energy for transport and handling.

Some types of bags can be reused. They can be cleaned and disinfected very efficiently.

Even after the bag has reached the end of its life cycle, the material can be used as a recycled PVC product. In this way, the waste from the bags is minimised, thus contributing to the environmental sustainability of flexitanks.
